Version 1.4 Beta Out
Caveman Craig version 1.4 is now available exclusive to the 64Digits mirror. It is a BETA, so I will be taking copious notes of any bug reports or issues, and if necessary, will revise when finally updating the YoYo Games mirror. You can download the game HERE

I noticed one annoying thing – it’s impossible to pick up a rock when a gatherer passes by pulling his prey. Seems that the dino is an obstacle between Craig and the ground. This happened in previous version, too.
And it still lags. 40 hunters, few enemies and the game turns into slideshow – on Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, 1024MB RAM, GeForce 8600 GT.
What do you think of port to C/C++?
Craig won’t pickup a rock because he sees a carcass instead, but of course he doesn’t start dragging it because somebody else is… so he does nothing.
1.4 does lag for you? Interesting. I know that around then, for computers with lower specs than yours, it will start to lag, but it’s designed to not have huge spikes.
The port to C++? It’s only being done to be able to make GM support Mac and Linux and other operating systems. Performance isn’t going to be much different unless that make optimisations along the way (that could’ve been done in Delphi too).
