Caveman Craig 2 NOW AVAILABLE!

It is with much pleasure and excitement that we announce the official release of Caveman Craig 2: The Tribes of Boggdrop.

Caveman Craig 2 is a unique strategy game featuring Craig, a tribe leader whose goal is to take over the four tribes of “Boggdrop”. To do this, Craig must buy and train hunters, gatherers, and preparers to grow and protect his tribe.

This unique strategy survival game includes..
• Over 12 dinosaurs, including Velociraptors, Pterodactyls, and the brutal Tyrannosaurus Rex
• 35 “XP rewards” that help defend and grow your tribe or disable your enemy. The XP Rewards include pet dinosaurs, teachers, catapults, and fully trained cavemen.
• A whole new twist on the original Caveman Craig game; conquer the enemy’s territory to win each level!
• Smart cavemen that can sleep, eat, improve their skills (eventually unlocking a special ‘veteran bonus’), and prioritise their tasks.
• New gametypes, dinosaurs, bonuses, achievements, and playable characters that can be unlocked!
• ‘Classic’ mode, where you must build your tribe as large as possible while facing harder and more frequent threats – just like the original Caveman Craig!
• A professional, high quality soundtrack by platinum-selling musician Ricky Garcia

Caveman Craig 2 is available on PC for just $9.99.

Will this game be free in the future? Just Asking…

Ah, the day we’ve all been waiting for! So, I preordered, and frankly, I have no idea where to download the game. Should I have received an e-mail with a link? because it seems I have no way of getting it.

Wow. Very impressive. The amount of polish that went into this game really shows – smooth animation, professional soundtrack, lighting, etc.

The gameplay is also a lot more complex and fast-paced than its predecessor. Very nice again. BTW, I don’t know how you managed to have such a complex game running so well, especially considering this was made in Game Maker. Props to your optimization abilities.

Still…there are some glitches to be found. I had several sound effect loops that wouldn’t stop unless I saved, quit, and reloaded. Also, Neanderthal Neil behaved oddly several times – including dragging a corpse back and forth for no apparently reason.

I also wish the punishment for dying was more severe.

I’m not trying to sound too critical. Overally, the game is amazing and well worth purchasing AS IS…but if you could address some of these minor quirks, the game would be perfection.

    • Thanks Andy! That is very helpful and encouraging.
We did spend a lot of time polishing this game, it was a tedious but rewarding process.

I’m really pleased you picked up on the optimisation and performance of the game. A lot of research and time went into writing code that worked as efficiently as possible. Resource management was a particularly interesting implementation, and very early on I wrote a non-collision based slope system for the terrain which works fantastically.

I think for the first level, death isn’t a big issue. In succeeding levels, being temporarily unable to do anything can cripple your tribe or really slow their growth.

I hope you do decide to buy a copy as I think you will really love it! Thanks again Andy.

    I should add 2 things:
    1. I was playing the demo.
    2. “Overally” is not a word.

Ok, I am downloading it now. Thanks for your kindness and patience. I don’t know why I didn’t receive the e-mail =( I am eager to see this entire game in action!

I didn’t get an email either and the password I got when i preordered weeks ago has expired apparently

    • Hi Roc,
I’ve sent you an email regarding this – my apologies.
I think the issue is that the email address you purchased the game with had a capital letter in it where it shouldn’t have. Hopefully the resend has worked, do let me know.

I don’t have the email, either. I pre-ordered but I must have deleted the email. Could you possibly send the email again?

  7. No problem Jordan – resent.

I feel a bit embarrassed now, but I have the email. Did you send it again, or was I just being a bit stupid? Super-fun game, by the way.
